Crystals
Rest your crystals on a bed of salt or leave them on the windowsill in moonlight overnight. Check first — some stones such as selenite don't like water.
Moon magic
On the new moon (the next one is 10 October), write ten wishes in the present tense — “I am…”, “I have…”. Read them back on the full moon.
Spellwork
Carve a single word into a small candle, rub it with a drop of oil from the middle outwards, and light it while you speak your intention aloud. Never leave a flame unattended.
Seasonal
Day and night are equal. Write two lists — what you're ready to release and what you want to grow — and keep them somewhere you'll see them until the solstice.
Cleansing
No sage? Open every window for ten minutes, ring a bell or clap in each corner of the room, and set the intention that stale energy leaves with the breeze.
Dreams
Write your dreams down the moment you wake, before you check your phone. Even a few words or a feeling counts — patterns appear within a couple of weeks.
Tarot
Shuffle, ask “What do I need to know today?” and pull a single card. Write one line about it, then check back in the evening — you'll be surprised how often it fits.
Moon magic
Leave a glass jar of water on a windowsill overnight under the full moon. Next morning, use it to water plants, rinse your crystals or add a splash to your bath.
Home rituals
When you come home, pause at the threshold, touch the salt and leave the day outside. Refresh the salt every new moon.
